The acai berry (ah-sigh-ee) grows in the Amazon rain forest and appears like a purple marble or grape. The fruit grows in large palm trees, which grow up to 80 feet. The berries grow in bunches, and each acai palm tree can produce between three and eight bunches. The Acai fruit is 90% seed pit and 10% pulp.
